Biography
Chloe Batista is currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science at Concordia University focusing on gender mainstreaming and the impacts of policies on gender norms and citizen behaviour. She is a subject-matter expert in gender-based violence (GBV) and Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) with over 8 years of experience in research and non-profit organizing. Her previous work has focused on exploring the connections between gender equality and gendered violence, trends in Canadian and international GBV statistics, GBV risk factors and methods of prevention, and the growing need to develop new mechanisms to respond to GBV in the Canadian context.
