
Estella Walsh (they/them) is a trans, nonbinary graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science at Concordia University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies. Their academic and activist interests center on transgender community organizing in Montreal, housing and disability justice, anti racism and decolonization, radical frameworks of solidarity, and structuralist theory. In 2024, they co-founded the Concordia Trans Student Union and in June 2025, co-organized the Towards Trans Joy and Justice Conference held in Montreal. Estella currently serves as a graduate student advocate with the Concordia Student Union and Graduate Students’ Association (CSU/GSA). Outside of their academic and advocacy work, they enjoy knitting and sewing garments.
