Meghan Joy (she/they) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Concordia University and is the current Director of the Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration (MPPPA) program. Meghan’s research interests include: the policy and politics of population aging in urban areas; urban politics, policy and theory; and changing relations between the state and nonprofit organizations. Ongoing research examines how municipalities and nonprofit actors develop and implement age-friendly policies and programs in collaboration with older adults. They also research the social innovation agenda and its impact on the nonprofit sector and new municipalism movements. Meghan was awarded Concordia’s Opinion Leader of the Year Award in 2019-2020 for her knowledge mobilization work.
