Dr. Sarah Marie Wiebe is an award-winning Associate Professor, writer, researcher, storyteller and political ecologist in the School of Public Administration at the University of Victoria whose research includes Climate CARE (Community Actions and Responses to Extreme weather events), public engagement, participatory governance and environmental justice. Co-founder of the FERN Collaborative (Feminist Environmental Research Network), she authored Hot Mess after her lived experience as a new parent during the 2021 BC heat dome.
